You are required to comply with regulations as they relate to water and air quality, as well as the impact on aquatic and human health. The EPA and local regulatory agencies continue to develop stringent guidelines to protect the environment against health threats.
Beyond regulatory hassles, fugitive dust can have a serious effect on your day-to-day operations such as diminished visibility, congested breathing, increased vehicle maintenance and storm water run-off problems. Eventually all these issues will adversely affect the safety and morale of personnel and hamper the efficiency of operations.
Sediment, as a result of runoff or windblown particles, deposits into drains, ditches or lakes and can seriously endanger plant and aquatic life. Erosion control is much more effective than sediment control. By stopping erosion before it becomes sediment, you can avoid costly clean-up and environmental effects from even occurring.
Midwest can help you manage fugitive dust, erosion, sediment and stormwater runoff with Soil-Sement®. It has been extensively tested in the field, in our state-of-the-art laboratory and by independent organizations. Click on the link below to see more information, technical specifications, articles and bulletins, environmental data and success stories on Soil-Sement®.
Soil-Sement®
A polymer emulsion blend. It is a milky-white liquid that requires dilution with water to aid in penetration into the surface and obtain optimum moisture for maximum compaction. Soil-Sement® “cures” upon the evaporation of the water and dries clear. It is considered non-hazardous per OSHA and EPA definitions. It is particularly effective for environmentally sensitive areas.
Midwest also understands that managing a program in-house can be extremely difficult. And outsourcing is not necessarily easy. We have the programs that provide either Turnkey Application Services of fugitive dust control products or a guaranteed Dust Control Service Program of monitoring and maintaining the prescribed level of dust control.
