Soil-Sement® Increases Load Bearing Strength for Concrete Slabs Sub-Grade

Anyone who works with concrete knows that it cracks as it settles. This has become a major environmental concern to livestock farmers and environmental agencies. Livestock waste is collected, then piped to a concrete tank for distribution onto fields as a fertilizer.  It is critical that these tanks do not crack and allow the animal waste to leach directly into the ground water.

To prevent this, Soil-Sement®  is mixed and compacted into the sand sub-grade directly under the concrete. This will multiply the load bearing strength of this layer and will prevent settling and cracking.  Because Soil-Sement® will remain flexible and resilient upon hardening, this layer is water resistent and will help to contain waste if a crack should develop.

Soil-Sement® is environmentally safe and does not affect ground water.  Application is easy and very cost-effective, providing an additional benefit and insurance against slab failure and prevents the high cost to repair a failure.

Midwest Industrial Supply, Inc. can provide turn-key installation based on the unique requirements of each specific project.  Our field technical service personnel are available for consultation and recommendations to determine the program best suited for each projects requirements.
